A Flat Earther’s Argument Destroyed

Do pilots have to pitch down to account for the Earth's curve? In this video, I take on Angel, a Flat Earther who claims pilots never account for curvature during flight. As a professional pilot, I debunk his arguments with real-world aviation facts and logic-while sprinkling in some humor along the way. From pitch attitude to Qantas flight data and the infamous 'rigidity in space' debacle, we’...

The lack of common sense and experience seems to be everywhere these days. Aviation is but a spear point example of what may be coming.

YES, the helicopter climbed from 250 to 450 feet. 😡 Such a low altitude in water, I think some PAX died from hypothermia. It only take 5 MINUTES for 34° water to effect your ability to move.

Really interesting analysis… In watching a lot of of the Mayday air crash investigation shows it always seems like there’s multiple mistakes that lead to a crash. Unfortunately, the army is gonna have a black spot on them for years and probably never be able to conduct training exercises over the river again.

No speculation needed - official raw footage makes it clear Lobach was flying above altitude, sped through the air directly in the jet's path, and made NO ATTEMPT WHATSOEVER to evade the collision. Despite being warned 12 seconds prior and two seconds prior again. 450 flight hours, a darling of the criminal Biden regime.

The dipshit helicopter pilot flying too high and air traffic controller failed all those souls by being nonchalant and not specific! Too bad they landing strip was changed at the last minute! Can't see the blazing jet lights in front of you! Epic fail on helicopter and Air Traffic control. I used to love flying, now am scared to death!

Is it the responsibility of the ATC tower to notify the pilots of all aircraft in its vicinity of the coordinates of other aircraft? That seems pretty basic to me. It is scary to think that, with all of the technology available, miscommunication like this could happen… I’ve heard that most plane crashes happen within 10 minutes of takeoff or landing, so I’d think that the RA ought to be in operation during these times… My prayers & heart go out to the deceased, their families, & loved ones, as well as to all who witnessed this tragic event🙏🏼 ✨💖✨

The Triple-7 is one of my fave aircraft! I love the timbre of its engines as it’s getting ready to taxi. When I lived in #Winthrop, MA near BOS Logan Airport, while in my condo, I could hear Cathay Pacific’s 777 getting ready for lift off, when it would pass my building, the structure vibrated. All of this would happen nightly around 01:45…I loved it, my neighbors…not so much! ❤️

He said, she said, they said......does a chopper pilot truly require a direct command from air traffic control in order to avoid a commercial passenger plane? How in the world does a qualified, sober chopper pilot miss seeing something as big as a commercial jet?

Another thought. Maybe Ronald Reagan Airport should be military only and the other two before domestic and international flights or split the international domestic flights up. After all you do have three airports near each other. I know one of them is hardly ever used. I read an article on it.

No need to apologize. We get it. Suggestion: No nighttime flights for helicopters and small aircraft. By the way…. where are the “lights” that flash SOS communications? We should have to use visual and audio communications simultaneously. Maybe maybe design and install some green lights all around the structural outline of the plane when it’s internet is on landing at or just prior to an airport …. you know like wrapping them around the Christmas tree. I would say install green lights all around the exterior of the plane to make it look like a plane in darkness like a dotted green light … a sort of holograph. I don’t think it would be hard to add strips of protective small green lights with clear coverings that you could just flip a switch inside the plane to light up the plane approaching or departing, and maybe also have green headlights to differentiate. Maybe have all green lights for planes taking off and all blue lights for planes landing and maybe all gold lights for helicopters. Something better has to be in position to protect aircraft and passengers. Military should be obeying information from air traffic controllers because they are smaller and easier to maneuver up and down. My brother, Steven Imhof, was an ATC for a short period of time in Bangor, ME, and I think I remember him saying that the life of an ATC is five years due to the stress levels. there have been so many flight accidents or near accidents lately that it becomes highly suspicious to the public. That’s why this video was so important. I think it was the helicopter’s fault because they can maneuver from high to low much faster given the distance to do so. I would like to see a video and hear the voice of the pilot in the Blackhawk helicopter, but I doubt if the military will release it.

Gary - good commentary and I suspect your observations will become DCA policy going forward. I am also a more than a bit surprised that ATC did not observe the potential for the collision path and specifically identify the CJ and Blackhawk in alignment with each other, regardless of the elevations of either aircraft. Perhaps if they'd not had a reduced staff that evening this might have been caught (the old "two heads are always better than one" model). I've not been a commercial pilot (only a private fixed wing and a Bell 206 trainee, and that was in the 1980s...) - however, I do have decades of commercial air travel on your airline almost exclusively, so I'm aware of T/O and landing procedures that involve fixed wing and rotorcraft.

some families need to ascribe "FAULT" for something so traumatizing to move on... nobody should speak on their behalf and think they don't deserve that.. im seeing a lot of channels and comments with just that sentiment because people don't like the word "blame". Which is such an easy position when having no relation to the dozens of families.
